 DIVINE
The design basis which is represented in the collection “Divine” is inspired by the shape of the female body and its proportions brought to perfection. Every woman is special, unique and perfect in her own way but when all that is supported by confidence in herself and in the creation that she is wearing, then the magic filled with endorphin occurs. The female body is an inexhaustible source of inspiration and creation of avant-garde. The main role is held by the current trends, colours and shapes… Within the entire beautiful race which is globally represented, the woman is the one who eventually decides what king of diva she desires to be. Namely, this is a collection which provides a comfortable feeling to the skin, being unique for the woman and the occasion. The collection “Divine” is accentuated by its own manufacture which follows the gorgeous shape of the female body.

THE UNDERSEA WORLD

For the latest spring/summer 2012 collection, the inspiration was found in the world of silence filled with energy and movement; the world which abounds in colour and mystique, darkness and light, liveliness and harmony; the world of the see depths ruled by the water nymphs, mermaids and other sea goddesses. The abundance of colours and forms from the underwater world- corals, sea shells, starfish, octopuses, sea horses and numerous sea creatures- provides a huge material for making new creations for a new beginning, for a new joy, for the new lady who copes bravely with all challenges of the present day; the one who makes the world go around. In the collection, there is a dominance of dresses with a touch of glamour and there are also shirts, skirts and trousers. This year Antonija Ristovska marks 10- years anniversary of her first fashion show.

FAIRES FROM THE HEART OF THE FOREST

The collection “Fairies from the Heart of the Forest” spring/ summer 2012 consists of unique, hand crafted dresses. The inspiration for this collection comes from the analysis and comparison of the modern woman and fairy, the analogy and connection between the new media, design and traditional values. Through these models, the designing duo portrays their conception of the modern woman, who yearns for nature and whose aestheticism is not short winded, but reflects the pursuit of environment preservation. The symbiosis of aestheticism, functionality and ecology has resulted in these state-of-theart models, containing some elements of the traditional. Embroidery and crochet details make these geometrical forms both subtle and authentic. All this classifies the collection as Haute Couture.

TIMELESSNESS

The collection is named “Timelesness”. It is consisted of exclusive fashion pieces aimed for special occasions. There are creations with very pure forms but there are also creations with a handmade finish. The collection counts 20 pieces. The creations are avant-garde which require for a real and strong personality to capture the necessary effect. The inspiration is taken from a wonderful journey in Prague, where the astronomical clock- Orloy left the strongest impression upon me. The clock is interesting as a theme and it is visually so vivid and creative that it leaves a space for variations. It is built in 1410 and it represents one of the three biggest astronomical clocks in the world and the only one which is still in function. Throughout its history, it passed through different periods and succeeded to keep its existence, therefore I called this collection “Timelesness”.

SUGAR TALE

Sugar tale. The collection is inspired from the tasty cookies, sugar candies and lollipops, melted ice-creams and chocolates… The little princess is embodied in the present-day modern woman.
Collection with explosion of colours and simple lines, a mixture of the inspirational 1950s and 1960s, filled with accessories, story tellers and agents. Soft and tender materials and forms were used as well as crochet elements in micro and macro dimensions.

FWSK 2012 - 6th day: Irina Tosheva

Skopje Fashion Week, April 7, 2012

Irina Tosheva
The collection for spring/summer 2012 is consisted of 12 models for women and men, made of light and natural materials which enwrap the body, giving a pleasant feeling of comfort and a dose of sexuality with their transparency. The melange of colours and asymmetry strike a note of urban sophistication and youth to the entire collection. The jewellery is vivid and impressionable, made of Plexiglas foil, in collaboration with the sisters Blashka Mieva and Sanda Mieva. I was inspired by Madeleine Vionnet, a French designer from the 1920s, who is known as “an architect among the designers of dresses” and “a queen of draping”. She had relieved the women's body from corsets and emphasized its natural feminine shape.

EMPTY BUT FULL / MOVEMENT AND TRANQUILITY

The season spring/summer 2012 is represented on our part through a different kind of story. The theme is about a quite abandoned romance from the past of the Chinese culture, accompanied by a modern shadow. It is a matter of Kunku Opera. In the concept of creation of this opera, there is a principle of Empty but Full, i.e. empty in terms of the setting whereas fulfilled by the content of the performance. Another emerging contrast is Movement and Tranquility. By showing the romance on runway, our goal was to extract and present the aspirations of a young woman. Capturing of the every moment in the collection was accompanied by elegance, light, harmony, fluidity- the old and proven classic romance. All forms of the romance will be contrasted with the opposite elements in order to represent the beauty through the large contrasts of forms and spheres.

FWSK 2012 - 6th day: Elena Spasovska

The accumulated inheritance from the past offers to the woman innumerable ways of facing with the challenges. I chose models of natural materials and earth tones which bring an air of playfulness. I paid the most attention to the convenience, comfort and timelessness. The clothes are intended for women who are exclusively sensitive to quality, colours and comfort and who dare to express themselves in a unique manner. The Totems are the inspiration for this collection. According to the philosophy of Shamanism, every human has 9 totems who are his personal protectors. In order to achieve the sculpturalism and symbolism of the totems, I chose different ways of whitening and manual colouring of the materials to make an effect of layers. The entire look is complemented with hats, inspired by the creation of our ancestors, having into consideration that according to some interpretations, the totem represents a symbolic replacement for some ancestor of ours.

WE RUN THE WORLD

The collection “We Run The World” is my first line. It speaks about the power of every girl/ woman, her charisma and sensuality. It is not a coincidence that jeans is the predominant material as well as purple, orange and red colour. Every girl/woman feels comfortable when wearing jeans thus emphasizing her body curves. Purple is the colour related to wisdom, dignity, independence, mystery and magic; the orange is related to enthusiasm, success, stimulation and attraction whereas the red is a colour of the fire and blood and associates with energy, strength, determination and passion. I managed to capture the fighting spirit of the woman by means of an animal print and accessories which reflect the material. The inspiration was born from the song and its video “We Run the World” of Beyonce where the woman`s world is represented.

READY-TO-WEAR
Ready-To-Wear collection for the season spring/summer 2012. It is consisted mostly of female outfits and fewer outfits for men. Following the example of the previous collection, in this collection there is also a continuation of the creation on texture (visual and tactile) predominantly with creation of segments on the pieces of clothes. The texture is made by stitching of the textile before the tailoring. The collection is mainly in pastel shades. Some of the outfits are accentuated with patterns. The collection is inspired by the influence of the Japanese culture upon the minimalism, modernism and characteristics of modern living. The forms and monochromaticity are taken from the Japanese style of architecture. The most distinguishable are the constructions of the Japanese architect, Tadao Ando, who is typical for the age of minimalism. Designs have influence on the elements and they associate with the Japanese styles.

HERITAGE

Collection “Heritage”. The inspiration for the collection is tradition, national heritage and the nature of Macedonia. Although it is an inspiration evoked by heritage and tradition, still the collection is elegant and modern. It is consisted of eleven formal evening dresses, specific by their unique manufacture. Some of the dresses are fully handmade while the others have details manually crafted on them. These dresses are intended for a modern woman who will identify herself with these elegant fashion pieces. Colours which prevail are the black, brown, blue and white. Only the dress which will open the show is in a red colour because it represents an introduction to the collection theme.

DAYDREAMING

I wanted to create timeless fashion pieces which would be minimalist but in the same time being extravagant and impressive. I allowed myself to add a touch of the avant-garde to the whole story in order to indicate a different approach. The collection is named “Daydreaming” and it is intended for girls who have their dreams and create their own ideals; ones who are in a quest for self-discovery; seeming simple at first sight, but being very complex in essence. I used a monochromatic colouring with an emphasis on neon yellow and coral red
colours. I have made a combination of materials with different texture and added a handmade jewellery to the final product. The inspiration mainly came from Ancient America and the Indian culture. I have chosen geometrical fragments which belong to the Indian ornaments, to be a main segment of my work. I have tried to make this transfer in a very stylish and sophisticated manner.
